What is CollegeBoundGPS?

Services Anchor

Services

To craft the best possible college list, I have each student complete a comprehensive assessment that explores their personal and academic goals, a review of their academic records (GPA, test scores, etc.), their interests in majors and possible career paths, and what is most important to them about their college experience.

I review each student's assessment results and use it as a guide when creating an initial list of potential college choices. I also factor in financial constraints for each family. From there, we work together to get the perfect list of schools and begin the application process.

I want to make my services available at any time during a student’s college search and application process. I welcome all students and families whether they are searching for a comprehensive package or are just seeking a few hours of assistance.

I began professionally working with young adults and their families in 2001 after I recieved my Masters in Social Work from Loyola University. During this time I found my true passion of helping young people discover their potential.

In 2004, after completing my Life Coaching Certification, I worked at a small internationally recognized private program that helped students prepare for a successful college experience. Throughout these same years I was also preparing my own two daughters to launch their college careers and I became a certified College Counselor through the UCLA.

Being a college counselor allows me to guide and coach students to make well informed decisions as they consider their future path. Working one-on-one with a student allows time to explore their interests, abilities, achievments and challenges.

Each year I spend a month's time visiting college campuses, talking to admissions counselors, researching schools and programs to assure my students are making decisions based on current information. I also attend professional conferences and workshops to broaden my knowledge base and network with colleagues.

Research & Resources Anchor

Colleges Visited

Each year I spend one month traveling and visiting colleges around North America, Canada and Europe. I tour campuses and cities, speak with admissions counselors, and get a feel of different programs each school offers.

I do this hands-on research to assure students are making their decisions based on current, comprehensive and honest information about colleges.
